How to bake homemade dog treats
-
Preheat oven to 350º
-
Remove silica packet from packaging, it's in there to keep the moisture out.
-
Pour contents into a bowl, add 1/2 cup of warm water. Up your dog's life by substituting with bone broth.
- Mix it up with a fork - ya it's easier than a spoon.
-
Flour your hands and roll into compact balls. If the peanut butter is too sticky you can add a little flour to the dough. Make bite size training treats or fun large bites based on your dog's size.
- Flatten them out to even the baking or use a cookie cutter for fun shapes.
-
Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet, or grease it.
-
Optional: Decorate with dog friendly veggies like apples, beets, strawberries, carrots, cucumbers, or blueberries make great toppers.
-
The dough won't spread, so no worry about closeness on the cookie sheet.
-
Bake for 18-25 min depending on the size you've made for your dog.
-
Let cool on a wire rack.
-
Feed your best friend!
