How to bake homemade dog treats

How to bake homemade dog treats

  1. Preheat oven to 350º

  2. Remove silica packet from packaging, it's in there to keep the moisture out.

  3. Pour contents into a bowl, add 1/2 cup of warm water. Up your dog's life by substituting with bone broth.

  4. Mix it up with a fork - ya it's easier than a spoon.

  5. Flour your hands and roll into compact balls. If the peanut butter is too sticky you can add a little flour to the dough. Make bite size training treats or fun large bites based on your dog's size.

  6. Flatten them out to even the baking or use a cookie cutter for fun shapes.
  7. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet, or grease it.

  8. Optional: Decorate with dog friendly veggies like apples, beets, strawberries, carrots, cucumbers, or blueberries make great toppers.

  9. The dough won't spread, so no worry about closeness on the cookie sheet.

  10. Bake for 18-25 min depending on the size you've made for your dog.

  11. Let cool on a wire rack.

  12. Feed your best friend!
