Ice & Decorate

Ice & Decorate

  1. Be sure your cookies are cool so you don't melt your frosting!

  2. Pour powdered sugar into a bowl

  3. Add two Teaspoons of water. Mix it up, it'll be chunky. Slowly add the third until is starts to turn into icing. Be careful not to water it down too much and make it too thin. You'll have to dig through the pantry and find some powdered sugar to thicken it back up.

  4. Whisk for a few minutes until it begins to thicken and become stiff.

  5.  Once stiff peaks have formed you're good to go!

  6. Put your icing in an icing bag, or better yet we love zip lock bags. Then snip off a corner and ice ice baby.

  7. Sprinkle your decor on, add eyes, get creative!

  8. If you don't want the icing to be sticky bake your cookies at 200º for 2-3 min or until your frosting starts to thin. This will cause the icing to harden so you can put your cookies in a bag for easy transport. Be careful not to melt your decor!

  9. Remove and cool on a wire rack.

  10. Don't forget these cookies are moist and will mold easy, so freeze your cookies or refrigerate them to make them last longer if you're not going to feed them within 3 days.
